Wow

00Seriosuly. I wrote that weird post from the bar but the emotion behind it stands. Someone, anyone, who watched that game, please explain to me why we lost. If you log on with an excuse, the officials must be a secondary reason, I'm a person who will ALMOST never blame the officials. Before today the "almost" was unnecessary because I thought I'd never blame the refs but after today, I change my mind. I'm disgusted by the way that the game went down and I can't believe how bad we got jobbed. Call me a whiner, call me a sore loser. I'm really upset.

I'd say the real blame sits with Jensen's foul on Williams to give the 3 point play with less than 20 secons left. Kind of sums up his career nicely...

I agree that Jensen was the key to losing that game. He is a DOPE. Not only did he foul the guy going for the lay in when UConn HAD to have a 3 and couldn't get a shot off outside the perimeter, but his two contributions before that included letting Anderson make a 3 when UCONN AGAIN NEEDED A 3 AND JENSEN WASN'T CLOSELY GUARDING HIM WHEN IT LOOKED LIKE HIS JOB TO DO SO, but also Jensen got a rebound with 80 seconds to go and the UW up by SIX and UConn players got all around him and rather than calling time out or seeing at least one open man a few feet away, he threw it to a teammate who was on the out of bounds line. Have I mentioned yet that JENSEN stinks? Three strikes and you are out, Jensen. In addition to that another reason we lost, although I love our coach and hope he stays forever at UW, is that when we have a 3 point lead with 7.8 seconds to play WHY don't you pressure the guy bringing the ball up the court and then foul him or foul the guy trying to get the ball for the 3 and let them take 2 foul shots with 3 seconds or so to play? Why why why let UConn take the 3? There was an article about this in the paper over a week ago, where Romar and his wife, his wife, were noted to disagree on that point with MRS. Romar saying take the foul when you are up by 3, and Romar saying no make the guy make the 3. I regret that Romar stubbornly stuck to that view at the end of regulation time in UConn game, despite what happened in the Stanford game (they fouled there WHILE the guy was shooting the 3, differenct than fouling while the ball is coming up or before the guy gets the ball), and he needs to change. Or let's put Mrs. Romar in charge.

Uconn got what they deserved. Talented team, maybe. Extraordinarily STUPID team? For sure. I'm surprised Calhoun didn't have a cardiac event.

Obviously you don't rail against the officials that often, see the Super Bowl post. I missed the game so I know it must have really been bad.

Cheers.
